The loyalty engine — points, rewards, tiers, and referrals — is configured at Settings → Storefront & integrations → Add-ons → Loyalty (admins only). Enable the add-on, then work through its four tabs. Loyalty and referrals covers running it day to day.
What do the four loyalty tabs configure?
| Tab | What it defines |
|---|---|
| Points | How points are earned and what they're worth |
| Rewards | What points buy |
| Tiers | The status ladder and its earn multipliers |
| Referrals | Refer-a-friend rewards for both sides |
Points — the currency
- Earning rules — how actions convert to points (e.g. points per amount spent), each with an optional minimum qualifying amount and a cap per period.
- Point value — what a point is worth when redeemed.
- Redemption limits — minimum points to redeem, maximum share of a sale points can cover, and the redemption increment.
- Accrual basis — earn on pre-tax or post-tax amounts.
- Expiry — how many months points live.
- Reverse on refund — claw points back when the earning sale is refunded.
Rewards — what points buy
Money-off or percentage rewards, each with its own point cost range, increment, and expiry once claimed.
Tiers — the status ladder
Each tier carries a name, colour, a spend threshold to reach it, a spend to stay, a qualification window, and an earn multiplier so higher tiers earn faster. The tab renders the ladder visually, highest tier on top.
Referrals — refer a friend
Configure what the referrer gets, what the new client gets, whether it's restricted to genuinely new clients, caps per referrer per period, and reward expiry.
Common questions
Do clients see their points?
Yes — balances, tier, and rewards appear in the client portal, and staff see them on the client profile.
Can points cover a whole sale?
Only up to the maximum share you set in redemption limits — cap it below 100% if you want every sale to carry some cash.
What happens to points on a refund?
If reverse on refund is on, the points earned by that sale are clawed back; off, the client keeps them.
