Settings → Loyalty — four tabs: Points, Tiers, Rewards, Referrals.
Points
How clients earn
- Points earned per $1 spent — the base rate applied at checkout
- Earn points on — the subtotal before tax, or the total after tax
How clients spend
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Points to redeem for $1 | The exchange rate — e.g. 100 points = $1 off |
| Minimum points to redeem | A floor per checkout, so nobody redeems 12 points |
| Max redemption (% of sale) | A cap per sale. 0 = no cap |
| Redeem in increments of | 0 = any amount |
Keeping the balance honest
- Points expire after —
0means points never expire - Refunds reverse points: a full refund reverses them entirely, a partial refund reverses them proportionally
Tiers
A tier ladder rewards cumulative spend with a better earn rate.
Each tier has:
- Name and colour — the colour drives the tier badge everywhere it appears
- Rank —
0is the base tier - Earn multiplier — e.g. 1.5× points
- Spend to reach — the threshold to be upgraded into it
- Spend to keep — the threshold to stay there
- Qualifying window — the period spend is measured over
- Grace before downgrade — how long someone keeps the tier after falling below the keep threshold
Tiers are recalculated on a schedule, so a client who crosses a threshold is upgraded without anyone doing anything.
Rewards
A reward is what points actually buy at checkout.
- Reward name — e.g. "$5 off your visit"
- Reward type and value
- Minimum points — the cost to redeem
- Maximum points — a cap,
0= none - Increment —
0= any amount - Expires after —
0= never
At checkout, an eligible client's available rewards appear and can be applied to the cart. The redemption is recorded against their points ledger.
Referrals
Every client gets a personal referral link they can share from their account.
Who gets what
Set the referrer's reward — type and value — and the friend's welcome reward. You also choose when the friend's reward is issued.
When rewards pay out
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Minimum qualifying spend | The friend's first visit must reach this, before tax and tip. 0 = no floor |
| Referral expiry | How long the friend has to complete a first paid visit. 0 = never |
| Clawback window | A refund inside this window takes the rewards back. Disputes always do, regardless |
| Reward credit expiry | How long issued credit lasts. 0 = never |
Limits and fraud controls
- Max rewards per referrer —
0= unlimited - Cap window — the rolling period the cap applies over
- Hold for review after — a burst of this many open referrals from one source within 7 days parks new ones for your manual approval.
0= never hold
Held referrals appear in an approvals queue for you to accept or reject.
Partners and milestones
Beyond client-to-client referrals, you can register partners (a gym, a hotel, a neighbouring business) with their own tracking, and set milestones that reward a referrer for hitting a count.
Pausing
The whole referral programme can be paused. Existing credits stay valid; no new referrals are counted.
What clients see
In their account, clients see their points balance, their position on the tier ladder, rewards they can redeem, and their personal referral link. See Booking online and using your account.
Automations
Six loyalty automations tell clients about it without you sending anything: Points earned, New tier reached, Reward available, Referral friend booked, Referral reward available, and Referred friend welcome. See Automations.
Reporting
- Growth → Reports → Loyalty — balances and activity
- Growth → Reports → Loyalty redemption ROI — points earned versus redeemed, the redeem-to-earn ratio, and the value of points actually redeemed at checkout
- Growth → Reports → Referrals — who referred whom, and what it produced
