LEAVING BOOKSY

Export your clients from Booksy and bring them to Owneli.

The steps at Booksy follow its own help, checked on the date shown. Owneli’s importer then reads the file, shows you every column, and writes nothing until you have checked a dry run.

Short answer

Booksy’s help says to ask its Support Team for a copy of your client list (in the United States, info.us@booksy.com). Ask for CSV or Excel. In Owneli, choose Generic CSV as the source under Settings, then Plan & data, then Import: Booksy’s customer list is recognised.

Get your list from Booksy

Booksy’s help points you to its Support Team for a copy of the client list.

  1. Write to Booksy support

Ask the Support Team for a copy of your client list. In the United States the address its help gives is info.us@booksy.com.

  2. Ask for a spreadsheet

Ask for CSV or Excel (.xlsx), so the file imports as it is.

  3. Keep the file safe

It holds your clients’ contact details. Store it where only you can reach it, and delete spare copies once the import is done.

Bring it into Owneli

Admins and owners import under Settings. Nothing is written until you have checked it.

  1. Open the importer

Go to Settings, then Plan & data, then Import.

  2. Choose where the data is from

Pick Generic CSV under “Where is this data from?”, then drop in your files: CSV, TSV or Excel (.xlsx), up to 15,000 rows each. An older .xls file needs saving as .xlsx or CSV first.

  3. Check the columns

Every column is shown beside your own data, with the field it goes into. Point any column Owneli did not recognise at a field, or leave it out on purpose.

  4. Dry run, then import

The dry run shows exactly what will be created, matched or skipped. Run the import; if anything looks wrong, Roll back import removes what it created.

Questions

Can I set up Owneli before the client list arrives?

Yes. Add your services, team and hours first, and import the client list when it comes. A later import links to what is already there and never creates duplicates.

Will imported clients get marketing messages?

Only those your file marks as opted in. Marketing consent follows the file: a no, a blank, or a file with no consent column leaves the client opted out.

Can I undo the import?

Yes. Roll back import deletes only the records that import created, unless they are already in use, such as an imported client with a new appointment.
