Meet Sage, your AI assistant

What Sage can look up, draft, and explain, and the hard limits it works within. It never sends, charges, deletes, or changes a setting on its own.

Updated Aug 14, 2026

Sage is the AI concierge built into Owneli. It answers questions from your live business data, explains how the app works, takes you to the right screen, and drafts emails, forms, policies, and campaigns for you to review. It prepares; a human performs every consequential action.

Sage is available to admins and owners (v1), and only when the AI assistant is enabled for your workspace. When available, its panel opens from the main app chrome on any page.

What can Sage actually do?

JobExamples
Find"Find Jordan Hayes", "what's on Nicole's schedule tomorrow?", "how much is the hydrafacial?"
Answer"How did revenue look last week?", "what's our cancellation policy?", "how are deposits configured?"
Explain"How do I add a service?" — grounded in the product's own help content
Go"Take me to gift cards" — replies with a validated, tappable link
DraftAn email template, a form, a policy, or a marketing campaign — always as a draft you edit and publish yourself

You can also drop a PDF or image into the chat — Sage reads it, summarises, or extracts fields.

Answers about money, dates, and names come from real lookups against your data, scoped to what you're allowed to see. If a lookup returns nothing, Sage says so instead of inventing a number.

What Sage will never do

These are structural limits — no tool exists for them, regardless of who asks:

  • Move money — no charging, refunding, wallet or gift-card adjustments, no touching the POS or drawer.
  • Send or schedule — campaigns are draft-only; Sage never sends an email or SMS, and never enables an automation.
  • Delete or cancel records — including appointments; it navigates you there so you decide.
  • Change access or settings — roles, permissions, and configuration are read-only to Sage.
  • Read clinical charts or PHI — client lookups return operational fields only.
When Sage drafts a campaign, nothing has been sent. The draft lands in your campaign editor where the normal rules — consent, quiet hours, your own review — still apply before anything goes out. See Campaigns.

Try these first

  • "What does my day look like tomorrow?"
  • "Give me a snapshot of the business this month."
  • "Draft a win-back email for clients we haven't seen in 90 days."
  • "Where do I set up tax rates?"

Common questions

Why don't I see Sage?

It's admin/owner-only in this release, and the workspace-level AI feature must be enabled. Staff accounts don't get the panel.

Are Sage's numbers trustworthy?

They're read from your live data at ask time, and results are capped (typically 10 rows, and it says when a list is truncated). Treat it like a fast lookup, and use the reports for anything you'll act on financially.

Does Sage learn from my clients' data?

Sage answers from your workspace's data during the conversation; usage is rate-limited and audited per user.
