Create discounts and deals

Build promotion codes, flash sales, and last-minute offers — what auto-applies at checkout, what needs a code, and how to scope and limit each deal.

Updated Aug 14, 2026

Deals live under Discounts and come in three types: promotions (a code the cashier or client enters), flash sales (auto-applied to eligible carts while the sale runs — no code), and last-minute offers (auto-applied when the appointment starts within your chosen window). Each deal is a percentage or fixed amount off, scoped to the items you choose.

Viewing needs revenue-setup access; creating and editing needs revenue-setup management.

Which deal type do I want?

TypeHow it appliesTypical use
PromotionSomeone enters the code at checkout"WELCOME10", partner codes, win-back campaigns
Flash saleAutomatically, on every eligible cart during its dates"20% off retail this weekend"
Last-minute offerAutomatically, when the booked appointment starts within N hoursFilling today's empty chairs

Auto-applied deals are code-less by design — the client doesn't need to know anything for the price to drop.

Create a deal

Open Discounts and click Add

The wizard walks through type, value, scope, and availability.

Choose the value

Percentage off or a fixed amount off. For a last-minute offer, also set the window — how many hours before the start time the deal kicks in.

Scope what it applies to

Services, products, and memberships can each be all, a selected list, or excluded entirely; gift cards are a separate opt-in. Anything outside the scope is simply not discounted.

Set the limits and dates

Optional guardrails: a start and end date, a total usage limit, one use per client, and a minimum spend. Then activate the deal.

How deals behave at checkout

  • A promotion is applied when its code is entered; any ineligibility (expired, limit reached, under minimum spend, out of scope) is reported right there.
  • Flash sales and in-window last-minute offers are swept automatically at checkout; an ineligible deal is silently skipped rather than blocking the sale.
  • Every application is recorded, so the deal's page shows total sales, times applied, distinct clients, and total discount given.
Membership perks declare individually whether they stack with discount codes. If a member's price looks "double discounted" — or a code refuses to apply for a member — check the perk's stacking setting on the plan before assuming the deal is broken.

Deactivating, duplicating, deleting

Deactivate stops a deal immediately while keeping its history; you can reactivate later. Duplicate copies the configuration (without the code) as a starting point for the next campaign. Deleting removes it from the picker and from auto-apply sweeps.

Common questions

Why didn't my flash sale apply to a cart?

Walk the gates: is the deal active and inside its dates, is the item in scope, is the cart over the minimum spend, has the usage limit been hit, and has this client already used their one allowed use?

Can two deals apply to one cart?

One cart-level deal applies at a time — the auto-apply sweep stops at the first eligible deal, and a manually entered code takes the slot.

Where do I see what a deal cost me?

Open the deal for its own KPIs, or Growth → Reports → Discount summary for all discounting across the period.
