Create and send a quote

Price up to six options for a caller, text or email the estimate link, and let them book the option they choose — straight from the quote.

Updated Aug 14, 2026

When a caller asks "what would it cost to…", build a quote: price one or more service combinations, then text or email them a link. The client sees a branded estimate and books the option they want — the quote converts into an appointment, not a bill.

How do I quote a price for a caller?

Start a quote

Open POS → Quotes and press New quote.

Price the first option

Pick the services the caller asked about — subtotal, any Deal, tax and total price live as you build. Give the option a headline with Option label if the service names alone don't tell the story.

Add alternatives if useful

Set aside & price another option starts a second combination — "the express version vs the full course" — up to six options on one quote. When you're done, Continue to send.

Say who it's for

Who is this for? — toggle New caller (name + phone) or Existing client (search by name, phone, or email).

Tick The caller asked us to text this estimate — it's required; estimates only go to people who asked. Press Send quote. It texts the link, falling back to email when there's no SMS consent, and you can always Copy link and share it yourself.

What the client sees

A branded Your estimate page: each option with its services, durations, any deal, and the price breakdown, plus "Valid through {date}" and a disclaimer that final pricing may vary with the consultation. One option ends in Book now; several become a pick-one list with a Book {option} — {total} button.

Booking an option deep-links into your online booking flow with the choice carried along. Once any option is booked, the whole quote closes — the other options stop offering booking.

Quote statuses

StatusMeaning
DraftBuilt but not delivered (delivery failed — copy the link instead)
SentDelivered by text or email
ViewedThe client opened the link
BookedAn option was booked — the quote's job is done
ExpiredPassed its valid-through date (30 days, or sooner when an included deal ends first)

An expired quote isn't a dead end for the client — the page invites them to get in touch for a fresh estimate.

A quote can't be edited after sending — the price a client was shown stays the price they were shown. Need to change it? Build a new quote and send that.

Common questions

Is a quote a payment request?

No. Nothing is charged from a quote — booking the option runs your normal online-booking flow, including any deposit your payment policy requires there.

Why does it say it emailed instead of texting?

The client has no SMS consent on file, so the estimate went by email instead — the send screen warns you beforehand.

Can I resend a quote?

An unbooked, unexpired quote's link keeps working — grab it with Copy link on the send screen before closing the builder. The quotes list itself is read-only; once you've left the builder, the practical route is a fresh quote.

The caller isn't a client yet — do I have to create them first?

No. Choose New caller with a name and phone; a client record is created from the quote so the eventual booking lands on the right history.
