Read a client's profile

A tour of the client profile panel — what each tab holds, where consent lives, and how to read fields hidden by your permissions.

Updated Sep 1, 2026

Click a client anywhere — the directory, a booking, a search result — and the same slide-in profile panel opens over your current screen, with everything about them organised into tabs. Close it and you're back where you were, booking intact.

What's on a client's profile?

The header

Name, avatar, tags, and key facts up top, with actions for editing, merging, blocking, and more. If the client is blocked, the header says so and by whom — see Blocked and flagged clients.

The tabs

TabWhat's there
OverviewThe snapshot: next visit, recent activity, key figures, consent on file
ActivityA chronological trail of everything that has happened
MessagesThe two-way message thread with this client — the same thread as the inbox
AppointmentsPast and upcoming visits
SalesEvery transaction, with a link into the full sale
Client detailsThe editable record — contact, address, preferences
ItemsMemberships, packages and gift cards they hold
DocumentsCompleted forms and consents
PhotosBefore-and-after clinical photos, on its own permission
WalletStore credit and saved cards
LoyaltyPoints balance, tier, and reward history
ReviewsReviews they've left

The Overview surfaces whether the client has a consent on record — a signed form or an explicit consent checkbox — and its date. The consent's content lives in the submission itself, under Documents. Viewing consent status is treated as a clinical read and is written to the audit trail.

When something is hidden, not empty

Some fields — allergies, internal notes, contact details, financial figures, photos — are each behind their own permission. If your role lacks one, the field renders as a locked "hidden by your permissions" placeholder, never as "none recorded". A profile that looks sparse to you may be full for a colleague. See Why is a field hidden from me?.

Never treat a field you can't see as evidence of absence. "No allergies shown" and "no allergies recorded" are different claims — if the allergy field is masked for you, ask someone who can see it before treating.

/clients/<id> is a stable link to a client — paste it in a note or a board card and it opens the panel over the directory. Emails Owneli sends to staff use these links too.

Common questions

Where do I see what a client signed?

Documents lists completed forms and consents; open one to see the answers and signature — see Review a submitted form. The Overview also shows whether any consent is on file and its date.

Why does a client's profile look emptier to me than to my manager?

Contact details, clinical fields, financials, and photos are each behind their own permission. What you lack renders as a locked placeholder, not as empty data.

How do I edit the client's details?

Open the Details tab, or use the edit action in the header — it opens the same overlay used to add a client.
