Packages

Sell prepaid session bundles, track who holds what, and redeem a session at checkout.

Updated Jul 26, 2026

A package is a prepaid bundle of sessions. The client pays once and redeems one at a time — a 5-pack of facials, a course of laser, a microneedling series.

Retail → Packages

The page has two tabs: Packages (the templates you sell) and Holders (the clients who currently hold one).

Create a package

Name and describe it

The description is your pitch — savings, schedule, gift idea. It appears where the package is offered.

Set sessions and price

Enter the number of sessions and the total price. Owneli shows the implied per-session price, which is the number that does the selling.

Set an expiry

Days from purchase. Leave it blank for no expiry.

Restrict which services it covers

Eligible services limits redemption to a specific set. Leave it empty and the package can be redeemed against any service you offer.

Optionally make it a course

A multi-session course tracks progress and prompts the client to book each next session. Set the number of weeks between sessions — that drives the next-session due date and the rebooking nudge.

You can also give a package its own calendar colour, so a redeemed session is visually distinct on the grid.

Selling one

Add the package to a cart at checkout, like any other item. It's also sellable from the public storefront if published.

Redeeming a session

When a package holder is checked out for an eligible service, Package appears as a tender. Choosing it covers that service line and decrements one session.

A package covers the bill, not the gratuity. A tip on a package-redeemed visit is settled by a following card or cash tender, so the client can still tip.

Refunds and packages

Refunding a sale that consumed a package session returns the session to the client. On a full refund of the package purchase itself, the whole entitlement is reversed.

Holders

The Holders tab lists every client with a live package: how many sessions remain, when it expires, and where they are in a course. It's the list to work when you want to chase people who bought and haven't come back.

Archiving and pausing

Paused packages don't appear in the checkout picker. Archiving does the same and takes them off your sale surfaces — existing holders keep what they bought either way.
