LEAVING GLOSSGENIUS
Export your clients from GlossGenius and bring them to Owneli.
The steps at GlossGenius follow its own help, checked on the date shown. Owneli’s importer then reads the file, shows you every column, and writes nothing until you have checked a dry run.
Short answer
Only the account owner can export, in a web browser: Clients, then Export Clients. The CSV holds name, email, phone, date of birth and banned status. In Owneli, choose Generic CSV as the source under Settings, then Plan & data, then Import: the GlossGenius export is recognised.
Export from GlossGenius
Only the account owner can export, and only in a web browser.
Open GlossGenius on the web
Sign in on the GlossGenius website as the account owner. Team members cannot export the list.
Export your clients
Go to Clients, then Export Clients. The file downloads as a CSV.
Ask for anything else
Client notes are not in the export. GlossGenius’s help says its support team can send a fuller export when the owner asks.

Bring it into Owneli
Admins and owners import under Settings. Nothing is written until you have checked it.
Open the importer
Go to Settings, then Plan & data, then Import.
Choose where the data is from
Pick Generic CSV under “Where is this data from?”, then drop in your files: CSV, TSV or Excel (.xlsx), up to 15,000 rows each. An older .xls file needs saving as .xlsx or CSV first.
Check the columns
Every column is shown beside your own data, with the field it goes into. Point any column Owneli did not recognise at a field, or leave it out on purpose.
Dry run, then import
The dry run shows exactly what will be created, matched or skipped. Run the import; if anything looks wrong, Roll back import removes what it created.

Questions
Why are my client notes missing from the GlossGenius file?
GlossGenius’s client export holds name, email, phone, date of birth and banned status. Its help says notes are not included and that its support team can send a fuller export when the owner asks.
Will imported clients get marketing messages?
Only those your file marks as opted in. Marketing consent follows the file: a no, a blank, or a file with no consent column leaves the client opted out.
Can I undo the import?
Yes. Roll back import deletes only the records that import created, unless they are already in use, such as an imported client with a new appointment.
