FRESHA FEES

How Fresha’s new client fee works, and how to avoid it.

Everything here comes from Fresha’s own pricing page and help article, checked on the date shown. Fresha can change its fees; check its current page before you decide.

Short answer

Fresha charges a one-time 20% fee, with a minimum of US$6 (CA$6 in Canada), when a client it counts as new finds you on its marketplace and books online. It is worked out on the first appointment’s booked value. To avoid it, put your existing clients on your Fresha client list before you list, and send them your own booking link. Owneli has no commission on clients you bring.

At a glance

The fee
A one-time 20% of the first appointment’s booked value, with a minimum of US$6 (CA$6 in Canada) and a maximum.
When it applies
The client was not on your client list when they booked, found you first on the Fresha marketplace and booked online, and confirms they have not visited before.
When it does not
The client was already on your client list, including anyone you added by hand or imported before their first booking, or confirms a previous visit.
Not charged on
Services or products added later, memberships and gift cards bought online, and tips.
Cancellations and no-shows
If the client cancels online, the fee waits for their next booking; if your team cancels, it still applies. A no-show marked the same day is not charged.
Your website and social pages
Booking from them needs a marketplace listing, and a client who viewed your marketplace profile before booking on your website still counts.
Refunds
The fee is non-refundable.

Ways Fresha suggests to avoid it

  1. Import your clients before you list

Clients already on your list when they book are not counted as new.

  2. Send your own link

Use a blast campaign, or a QR code from the Link builder, with your direct booking link, so returning clients do not book through the marketplace.

  3. Merge duplicates

A returning client saved twice can look new. Merging the profiles keeps them recognised.
