Find your way around the calendar

The five views, what the colours mean, and how to filter the grid down to what you actually need to see.

Updated Jul 26, 2026

The calendar is the surface most people spend the day on. It's one grid with several ways to look at it.

The five views

Switch views from the view selector in the toolbar. Your choice is remembered, so the calendar opens the way you left it.

ViewWhat it showsBest for
DayOne date, one column per team memberThe front desk during service
3 dayThree consecutive datesA short look-ahead without losing detail
WeekSeven datesPlanning and spotting gaps
MonthA month gridVolume at a glance, long-range planning
AgendaOne date as a plain chronological listPhones, and anyone who prefers a list to a grid

Day is the only view that gives every team member their own column. In 3 day and Week the days become the columns instead.

On a phone, Agenda is usually the view you want. A seven-column week grid on a 390px screen is a lot of pinching.

Moving through time

  • The date pill in the toolbar opens a two-month picker with quick jumps ("In 1 week", "In 2 weeks"). On phones it shows one month.
  • Today snaps back to the current date.
  • The arrows step forward and back by whatever your current view spans.
  • A now line is drawn across the current time in day and week views. Use "jump to now" to scroll it into sight.

Reading a block

Every appointment renders as a coloured block. The colour comes from the service, so a room full of the same treatment reads instantly.

Statuses have their own consistent palette across the whole app:

StatusColour
ScheduledAmber
ConfirmedGreen
CompletedGrey
CancelledRose
No-showRed

Hover a block on desktop and a preview card appears after a short delay — client, service, price — without opening anything. Click it to open the full appointment panel.

Blocked time

Time that isn't bookable — lunch, a break, training, someone's day off — renders as a hatched band rather than a block. See Block time and the waitlist.

Filtering

Filters in the toolbar opens a panel on the right. You can narrow the grid by:

  • Appointment status — scheduled, confirmed, completed, cancelled, no-show
  • Booking channel — booked in the app, at the kiosk, through public online booking, or via the API
  • Service
  • Team member
  • Client tag

The filter button carries a count of how many filters are active, so a filtered calendar never silently looks like an empty one.

If the calendar looks emptier than it should, check the filter count before anything else. Filters persist as you move between dates.

Focusing on one person

Click a team member's name in the column header to scope the whole view to them. A chip appears in the toolbar — "Nicole's Week ✕" — and clicking the ✕ clears the focus. It's the fastest way to answer "when is this person free?"

Nobody appears on the grid

If a team member has no column, it's almost always one of three things:

  1. They have no working hours set — Team → Scheduling
  2. They aren't marked as bookable on their team profile
  3. A filter or a focus chip is hiding them

Empty space is clickable

Clicking an empty slot on the grid opens a small menu at that exact time: add an appointment, book a group, or block the time. It pre-fills the date, time, and team member you clicked, which is quicker than opening a blank booking panel.
