SQUARE APPOINTMENTS ALTERNATIVE
Looking for a Square Appointments alternative?
Square Appointments and Owneli both run bookings, payments and client records for appointment businesses. Below: what each publishes about price, contracts and your client list, with sources and dates, and exactly what moves across if you switch.

Short answer
Owneli is one: online booking, payments, client records, forms and memberships for salons, spas and clinics. Square publishes a free plan and two paid plans per location; Owneli’s prices are not published yet, and its terms are the same for everyone: no commission on clients you bring, no contract, export your clients any time.
Side by side
| Owneli | Square Appointments | |

Moving from Square Appointments

Import from Fresha and other systems

What Owneli does not do yet
Worth knowing before you choose.
- Prices are not published yet. Ask the Owneli team about pricing for your business.
- Saved cards, forms, consents and photos do not come across in an import, and a membership’s billing does not resume mid-cycle on its own.
- There is no App Store app yet. On an iPhone, Owneli runs in Safari and installs to the home screen; on Android, Owneli for Business and Owneli: Book Appointments are on Google Play.
- Data is stored in the United States (Amazon Web Services, northern Virginia), whatever country the business is in.
Questions
Can I import my clients from Square Appointments?
Yes. Get your client list out of Square Appointments (the table above shows how), then upload it to Owneli’s importer. Each column is matched before anything is written, a dry run shows what will be created, and the import can be undone.
What does not come across when I switch?
Saved cards, forms, consents and photos. Card details move between processors, never through a file, so clients add their card again through a secure link.
Does Owneli take a commission on my clients?
No commission on clients you bring: the clients you import, and the clients who book through your own booking links and website. Card payments carry a processing fee, which is not published yet.
How do prices compare with Square Appointments?
Owneli’s prices are not published yet. Square Appointments’s current prices are on its own pricing page, linked under Sources.
